Frequently asked questions
Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions prospective partners ask us. If you still can’t find the answer you’re looking for, contact us and we’ll do all we can to assist you.
Are you a regulated law firm and do you accept liability for your services?
It is crucial that suppliers accept liability for the services they provide both to you as a business and to your customers. This not only protects the reputation of your business, but also reassures customers that their interests and satisfaction are a top priority and there is recourse should something go wrong.
We’re an SRA regulated law firm, meaning the part of our business that provides telephone legal advice and reviews documents for customers is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and we carry all the necessary professional indemnity cover.
We don’t hide behind any small print.
What jurisdictions are your services suitable for?
We have offerings suitable for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We can also provide a suite of documents suitable for the Republic of Ireland. (We also operate in the United States and Canada).
Contact our partnerships team for a list of available documents for individuals, businesses and landlords. We will also provide you with a demonstration of our services and trial access to experience it firsthand.
What legal documents, contracts and polices do you offer?
Our range and capability have been developed over 25 years. Utilising the experience of customers, our legal team constantly refines our range of documents, plus expands the depth and breadth of their suitability to customers’ needs.
Our underlying templates can produce literally hundreds of permutations based on complex logic and learning. Further, customers can submit their document securely to our regulated legal team, along with any questions, for review and bespoke changes.

What is the document preparation customer experience?
Customers answer a series of smart interactive questions that include guidance and practical examples next to each of them. The answer to one question determines the next, whilst the document drafts in real time.
As the customer answers the questions, guidance and explanations in the follow-on questions often also adapt. This creates a personalised experience in addition to a bespoke document output. Further, documents contain validators and rules to ensure customers can't make contradictory selections, or those that would result in a legally invalid document.
Thereafter, the customer can submit their document securely to Epoq’s regulated legal team, along with any questions for review, changes and signoff. There is no additional cost to the customer for this service.
Are your services white labelled or cobranded?
We’re known for being the ‘brand behind the brand’ and have the ability to both fully white label an online legal service to a partner’s brand specification or cobrand one of our own services.
Contact our partnerships team for a platform demonstration including examples of different branding solutions.
Are you able to integrate with our website?
We have a well-documented REST based API which enables our partners to customise workflows, facilitate a single sign-on, pre-populate documents with customer information or extract management information programmatically. See our technology page for more information.
You can also contact our partnerships team for a demonstration and sandbox access.
How do your commercial models and pricing work?
What is your sign-up process and implementation time?
Contact our partnerships team to discuss your needs and those of your customers. We’ll craft a solution together with pricing, headline terms and agree a launch date based on your requirements and technical solution. You can view indicative project timescales on our pricing page.
Should you wish to proceed, we will begin drafting a master services agreement based on agreed headline terms and assign a dedicated project team. Due diligence processes can optionally be completed alongside the project so as not to delay the go-live date.
As required, we will produce a project specification and plan, outlining actions, allocated resources, dates for deliverables and key project milestones. We’ll also set up routine project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders not directly involved in development of the service.
Once the service has been launched, a dedicated account manager will be assigned to provide ongoing day-to-day support.
How is Epoq different from other providers?

Our experience, depth and breadth of legal documents combined with technical and legal expertise as an SRA regulated law firm make us the preferred provider to some of the world’s largest brands.

Contact us and we’ll do our best to help you make a well-informed decision when selecting a legal services provider that aligns with the needs of both you and your customers.
